To see Julie through letters on a page so artistically placed in a way where you can feel the rushing waves of thought and emotion sweep away the sighs of the day. It's a calling back to You. A reminder that we are here day after day trying our best to call out connection with one another.

Admittedly, I am not a big reader of poetry, but there is something about Julie's poems that captivate me and keeps me wanting more. Their ability to take complex feelings and present them in a way that connects with my soul is thrilling. Their words have me simultaneously crying, laughing out loud and screaming. I open their books in times when I want to be inspired when I want to feel seen, and when I want a different perspective. I patiently await their next book because I know it will be filled with gems to treasure for a lifetime.

I devoured Julie Bull’s book (h)in(d)sight 20/20. They speak from an unfiltered voice with such an enticing melody it leaves you entranced by the raw emotions of their writings. Even if you are not commonly a poetry consumer, you’ll find yourself wanting to add this book to your collection. In my opinion, it’s one of the best new works of poetry released by an Island author.
